Liz Adams and Stuart Thomas - Greenfry
Liz and Stuart’s project focuses on providing tasty, healthy and affordable food, including a micro-bakery, event catering, community cookery school and workshops to teach sustainable food growing and healthy cooking to adults and healthy eating to children. The micro bakery provides handcrafted real bread to Bute and the surrounding area with all ingredients sourced locally.
Liz has a master’s degree in science technology and is experienced in the field of food sustainability. Stuart has extensive experience of event management. Liz and Stuart have been testing out their ideas through various temporary and ongoing events, locally and further afield.
Alan Peacock - Brandane Cheese
Alan aims to bring back cheese making to the Isle of Bute on a small scale using milk produced by local farmers. He aims to create a new cheese product that will provide a high quality, healthier option, serving the high end market while selling his products at affordable prices to the local community. Alan’s future plans include provision of local employment and supporting the promotion of Bute on the international stage.
