Michelle Fell - Willow Day Care
Michelle will provide a day care service for children from birth to teenagers in the village of Strachur, giving families in the area access to childcare on their doorstep. The day care service will provide stimulating and educational fun at all different levels for all age ranges, and capabilities. Living in Strachur, provides access to the outdoors, with its forest walks, play park, and beaches. Michelle's social enterprise will bridge a real gap as options are currently limited in the Strachur area. Willow Day Care will have extended hours from 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday to allow parents to travel to and from work in the nearby towns.
Barbara Smith – Canine Campus
Barbara is establishing a dog training enterprise for dogs with behavioural problem, which aims to alleviate the challenges for dogs and owners, boosting their confidence and reducing the isolation and stigma that can come with having a companion animal dealing with difficult issues. Barbara will offer tailored socialisation support at an affordable cost for those who may not be able to access traditional dog training. Canine Campus offers secure outdoor exercise areas, providing a safe space for owners and their dogs to exercise and work off lead in privacy without the worry of coming across other dogs or livestock.
Monty Phillips - Fuss Pot Farm
Fuss Pot Farm is a food growing cooperative, aiming to provide nutrient dense produce to Dunoon and the surrounding areas. Monty and the cooperative growers aim is to grow enough for their personal needs and sell any surplus produce to local businesses and grocers.
Craig Peden - ZPL Mobility
Craig is providing service and repair and hire of mobility scooters in the Cowal area. He is also moving into bespoke adaptations of aftermarket vehicles to make them fit for purpose and accessible to people with mobility issues.
